About

Avon Fire Scene Examination Services, began operating in 2010, and aim to provide a no-nonsense, high quality, professional fire investigation, and fire safety advisory service.

Our principal investigator, Malcolm Jenkins, has over 30 years experience in the fire related field, including 18 years as a specialist fire investigator, he holds a Master of Science degree in fire investigation is a member of the Chartered Society of Forensic Science, and a graduate of the Institution of Fire Engineers.

Malcolm has investigated the origin and cause of almost a thousand fires of all types, and has prepared many reports to be used as evidence, he has personally presented evidence in Magistrates and Crown Courts as well as at Coroners' inquests.

Malcolm is also an instructor for the leading UK fire investigation training company and an assessor for the Skills for Justice Levels 2 and 5 Certificates in Fire Investigation.

We have extensive experience in the field of fire safety, including the application of legislation and enforcement. We can help you meet the requirements placed on you by fire safety law, whether it be producing a suitable fire risk assessment, training staff, or negotiating with enforcing authorities on your behalf to identify mutually acceptable solutions.
